Important update regarding Visitor Reception Centres (VRCs) and brochure distribution
As part of its efforts to address visitors’ changing demands for information, Tourism Saskatchewan is closing its seasonal Saskatchewan Visitor Reception Centres (VRCs) in Maple Creek and Fleming in 2017.
Closing the centres was a business decision made after extensive research into visitors’ travel research habits. Online and other technology options are now the preferred and most commonly used methods to gather information. To meet travelers’ changing needs, Tourism Saskatchewan has made investments to strengthen its visitor information services, including website and social media channels, phone, email and online chat, all of which can be accessed from virtually anywhere through a mobile device. This allows the organization to maximize the number of visitors it reaches.
Due to these closures, Tourism Saskatchewan will no longer be operating a brochure distribution program. However, 25 copies of your brochures are welcome in order to fulfill any inquiries that Tourism Saskatchewan may receive from visitors.
If you would be interested in a list of community visitor information centres for possible brochure display options, or in providing Tourism Saskatchewan’s Regina office with your brochures, please contact Patti Peesker at firstname.lastname@example.org or 306-787-2420.
